Brainboxes is a world leading designer and manufacturer of PC data communications
hardware. Since 1984, substantial investments in both R&D and manufacturing
expertise have gained Brainboxes a reputation for products that are easy-to-use,
highly configurable, and extremely reliable. All hardware design, software design,
and product manufacture is done in-house at their Liverpool headquarters giving
us an unparalleled level of flexibility and control.
ISO9001:2000 standard
In 1994 Brainboxes formed part of the first wave of companies to achieve the global
ISO9001 quality management standard. Building on this foundation, in 2001 they were
one of the first companies to move to the new ISO9001:2000 standard that covers
every aspect of Brainboxes' design, manufacture and customer support functions.
Bluetooth� SIG qualified product
They began designing and manufacturing serial communications cards in 1990 and have
continued to develop and expand their extensive product range. We subsequently demonstrated
our commitment to wireless technologies and their technical expertise when in January
2001, wthey became one of only 50 companies worldwide to have a Bluetooth� SIG qualified
product - the Bluetooth PCMCIA card. This clearly illustrates the company's position
at the forefront of developments in Bluetooth wireless technology. Brainboxes is
one of very few companies worldwide to have entirely developed all of its Bluetooth
hardware and Windows� software stack, which has given them an unrivalled in-depth
understanding at all levels of the technology.
Leading edge products
They have continued to develop leading edge products, meeting the most stringent
qualification tests. Brainboxes' mission is to provide innovative, small form factor,
PC data communication products. Their customers benefit from a 'Perfect Fit, Custom
Design' facility, built on many years of expertise. This saves customers the costs
associated with developing these facilities in-house.
Leading edge products
All Brainboxes software drivers are compatible with Microsoft's operating systems.
Brainboxes works closely with Microsoft to ensure that all their products operate
seamlessly. Microsoft has adapted their Bluetooth software stack to provide native
support for Brainboxes' Bluetooth products within their future operating systems.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Brainboxes is a member of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group and has been instrumental
in the development of PC based Bluetooth products to support wireless communications
technology. The company is at the forefront of Bluetooth product development, and
has developed a product range which will include:

� USB Bluetooth Adaptor
Brainboxes has also developed a Bluetooth software stack - one of the most widely
